My Product Experience

I am writing this because I would like for all the moms out there to know that there are safer products that you can use instead of those products you are purchasing now at a local store.

On Sunday, August 19, 2007, I was cleaning my bathroom. My daughter was going in and out of the bathroom, which I don't mind her being in the bathroom with me now that I am using a safer bathroom cleaner. It doesn't have the toxic fumes you get from a regular bathroom cleaner. With the regular bathroom cleaners, I would have to go through the ritual of opening all windows and waiting for the fumes to subside before I started to clean the bathroom. Even if I waited to let the bathroom air out, when I started to clean I would have to hold my breath and clean the bathroom, only to have to step out every minute to take a breath of air. I am so glad that I now know that there are safer products for your home and the environment that I can use. Anyways, I had the shampoo and bath soap on the floor. My daughter stood there watching me as usual, and then I heard her coughing, so I went to see what was going on. She had gotten into the shampoo and had eaten some. I got scared and started thinking all kinds of things. I called the poison control center and told the lady what had happened. Even if I knew I was using safer products, I was still scared and wanted to know if she would be ok. I was so, panicked that when the lady asked me for my phone # I couldn't even remember it. She ask me the name of the product, how much she ate, and how long ago. I told her the name of the shampoo and I think she ate maybe 1/2 a teaspoon or less. She told me my daughter would be fine, the most that would happen to her is her vomiting or getting diarrhea. My daughter was fine she didn’t even get diarrhea or vomited. I was so relieved and thanked her. After I got off the phone with the lady I brushed my daughter’s teeth and gave her something sweet to eat. I started thinking what if I was using a different shampoo? What if I hadn’t switched over to safer products?

I am thankful that I have found this company and I am asking you moms to take the first step. So many kids are getting poisoned by household cleaners and personal care products that we bring into our homes, and it doesn't have to be.

So be a consumer with a voice and purchase products that are safer for your home and the environment.
